Volunteer Opportunities
We are always looking for volunteers to help our organization run smoothly and effectively. Please consider offering your time, services, knowledge, and brainpower to the WMGA and the WMGA Foundation.
There are many options for you to choose from, ranging from volunteering at tournaments to participating on committees to mentoring junior golfers. Get involved and make a difference in the game you love!
Tournament Volunteer – Assist in execution of a specific tournament within your district, such as, sign-in desk, spotting, or pace of play monitoring.

WMGA Roles
Series Captain – Coordinate scheduling, guide team captains and players for the 2.5 week Interclub Team Matches in late April and early May.
Team Captain – Coordinate your club’s team match players schedule and roster for the 2.5 week Interclub Team Matches in late April and early May.
Met Rep – Serve as focal point for your member club, provide assistance in renewing and recruiting WMGA members, and coordinate with club personnel for hosting WMGA team matches, tournaments or meetings.
Course Rating – Learn to rate courses and work with current course rater teams within your district.
Rules Official – Participate in USGA Rules School and become a rules official at tournaments.
Foundation Donor – Provide financial and/or time assistance to the Foundation in fund raising and Girls To The Tee programs.
Junior Golf – Mentor Junior Fellowship recipients, volunteer at Girls to the Tee, and help at junior tournaments.
Committee Member – Work with a Board Chair and committee to address a specific short term action plan or initiative.
Board Member – Hold a Board Chair position such as marketing, communications, finance, membership, tournament competitions, juniors or initiatives.
